 Role overview:
  • The CFO Change CoE team will provide support to Product Control line across a variety of key control systems. It also plays a pivotal role with onboarding\deployment of new PC apps and give necessary trg to the End Users.
 Key  responsibilities 
  • Serve as a liaison with managers of line functions to identify, define and accurately document business requirements following CS best practice
  • Use Business Analysis tools and techniques to capture and clearly articulate the as-is business processes, identify problems and inefficiencies and define business requirements for process improvements
  • Manage requirements and maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that requirements are delivered as specified, and change impact assessments can be made
  • Document as-is business processes, identify key issues and define target business processes that deliver the optimal solution following CS standards
  • Communicates clearly with all stakeholders and demonstrates an understanding of business processes and related issues. Develops multiple solutions options and can convey the merits and issues of each to ensure clear understanding of impact across the organization
  • Assist in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for integration, functional, performance and user acceptance testing.
  • Work with the Project/functional Manager and other team members to define metrics and performance goals for new process/initiative
  • Identify, manage and escalate where appropriate project risks and issues associated to requirements gathering, analysis and design
  • Design training and support documentation for new projects
  • Communicate clearly with all stakeholders to demonstrate understanding of business processes and related issues, and to effectively convey back solutions and issues to ensure clear understanding across the organisation
  • Be familiar with all BA project standards and templates, and contribute to following and improving CS business analysis capability
  • Ensure compliance with established guidelines for accurate and timely project delivery milestones
  • Have SME input into CFOC BA Capability and be recognised as an SME across CFOC

 

 Additional duties and responsibilities:
  • The candidate will need to become familiar with CS architecture especially with regard to the Front-to-Back processing of current trading products.
  • The candidate would be required to travel for training purposes as and when needed.
  • The candidate will be expected to work shifts to accommodate users in 3 locations Singapore, London and New York which may include some weekend work.

Essential:

  • Minimum  7 years of Experience as a Business Analyst
  • Strong communicator (Writing, listening & playing back, presenting)
  • Break down work and provide estimates to complete analysis
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Internal and External BA tools, techniques and documentation formats
  • Stakeholder management; identifies & validates which departments have a steak or may be impacted by the project and engages at an appropiate level
  • Ability to use quantitative and analytical problem solving skills to break down complex problems and frame them into simple terms
  • Strong analytical skills. Able to call upon a wide range of BA skills such as Business Process Modelling (as-is and to-be models), paint poin analysis, cost benefit analysis, user stories, system interaction diagrams & target operating models
  • Ability to prioritise tasks across multiple activities, in addition to performing peer reviews for junior Business Analysts
  • Familiarity with a variety of software delivery methodologies essential i.e. waterfall, RUP and agile

  • Financial Accounting and/or Product Control line experience an advantage

Required:

  • Education : Finance Degree- E.g. B.Com, M.Com, CA, CFA, MBA etc.
  • 6+ yrs of exp with excellent comm skills
  • Should be a Business Analyst (BA) on the business/ functional side – NOT TECHNICAL
  • Ideally worked in Investment Banking Domain
  • Overseas Experience: Onsite exposure – added advantage
  • Candidates that have moved from a Line role within CFO/ Finance division to a BA role – added advantage
  • Candidates with projects experience in the CFO/Finance division of Investment Bank – added advantage
  • Project management certification – added advantage

 

NOT required:

  • Job Profile from IT Infrastructure, Programming / Development background
  • Should not be a BA associated with Change for one or few IT Applications – in general, should not be a BA on the IT side
  • Candidate Should not be working on Pre Sales and RFP.
  • Retail Banking, Corporate Banking and Credit Cards domain are not ideal.

 Likely Pool:

  • BA in a Projects/ Change group within the business/ Functional area (NOT in the IT division) of an Investment bank in India or Overseas.
  • Business Consultant with experience as a BA in Projects for Investment banks in India or Overseas.
  • Line/ Change Management in Investment Bank in a Line/ Functional Area (Not in IT)
