Main Purpose – what is the main objective/purpose of the role?

The purpose is to support the plant management in ensuring that all electrical functions smoothly without breakdowns.

Accountabilities:

1. Business Agenda

  • Drive TPM culture of the plant
  • Monitoring and controlling cost ( Power)
  • Managing the inventory for spare parts
  • Maintaining of equipment’s and breakdown analysis.
  • Ensuring ODS updation

2. People Agenda

  • Ensuring the growth and development of the people reporting to this position via learning activities and training
  • Providing a healthy environment that encourages empowerment and diversity
  • Maintaining the high motivation among the team
  • Capability development of all  technicians and Equipment operators
  1. 3.       Communicate  and execute schedules
  • Provide overall  leadership and decision support for  electrical  maintenance function
  • Communicate  and execute maintenance  schedule
  • SAP compliance
  • Indicate and reduce Scheduled start / stop time
  • Approve manpower requisitions and ensure as per budgeted template. Seek approval for requirement over

and above budgeted allocation.

  • Review and Indent for spares.
  • Execution of mock emergency drills
  • Review run wise LP (NE), Yields from ODS
  • Work with maintenance to schedule planned maintenance
  • authorize shift change of associates in consultation with GS coordinator
  • Ensure continuity in shift
  1. 4.       Lead occupational safety in the plant 
  • Issue Permit to work for activities
  • Record and investigate injuries
  • Identify unsafe conditions through planned inspections (e.g.: malfunctioning, wet floors, unguarded

machinery, hot surfaces, sharp edges, unprotected working platforms, bare/loose wires, etc.)

  • Counsel people following unsafe work practices (Stop unsafe practices)
  • Risk Assessment in relevant areas, Work place inspection, check Machine guarding, implement Permit to Work, Lock out and Tag out (LOTO) usage and ensure PPE usage
  1. 5.       Lead line performance improvement in production
  •  Analyze operational (day-to-day) performance issues and discuss in daily department review
  • ‘Hands-on’ training of   SAP  for maintenance related task
  • Reasons for drop in LP (NE), equipment efficacy  through Pareto analysis of downtime
  • Investigation of drop in equipment reliability.
  • Fluctuations in production productivity
  • Identify energy loss
  1. 6.       Manage TPM 
  • To ensure plant is prepared for certification levels of TPM
  • To support departments in One Data Source culture and M&W Stage levels.
  •  Understands Safety and other related rules in the Factory Act.
  •  Knows various applicable safety and other laws and regulations like pressure vessel testing, legal metrology, boiler act, electrical safety rules
  • Coordinating in the Plant at all levels on the Safety , TPM, i2,SAP
  • Conduct Audit in the Plant and coordinate with senior leadership team to close the gaps.
  • Health check of TPM circles
  • Schedule compliance of CLI standards (step 3 tentative standards) > 95%.
  • Weekly review with circle leaders
  • Monthly review and progress update of Circles to Manufacturing Manager
  • Kaizen / OPL R&R review panel
  • B2B training of associates and officers. Evaluation of skill progression by individuals.
  1. 7.       Drive high quality people processes
  • Drive officer engagement through periodic connect and R&R
  • On- boarding of associates
  • On – boarding of associates
  • Grievance Handling for associates  during the shift
  • Reporting of Disciplinary issues
  • B2B trainings of Associates and Officers and also evaluate multi skill progression
  • Drive officer engagement through periodic connect and R&R

  • Maintenance Plan compliance

  • No of OPLs and Kaizen
  • R&M budget.
  • ODS

Discuss improvement plans with maintenance  Manager / Plant Manager and provide resources to line officer

Key Skills/Experience Required – specific education/certification, specific functional experience, language etc NEEDED for the job.

Experience and Qualification

  • BE with 5 – 8 Years of Shop Floor in a TPM Environment & experience preferably in the FMCG sector
