Role Designation : ERP Applications Manager
Job Description :
Independently handle the following portfolio in a large Building Materials Manufacturing & Distribution Company with multi-site operations and multi-channel distribution
Responsibilities :
- Support all the Organizational Processes that rely on the SAP ERP System including:
- Sales & Customer Service (SD)
- Materials Management (MM)
- Production Planning & Control (PP)
- Plant Maintenance (PM)
- Manage development (ABAP) team and deliver SAP development to agreed scope, timings, budget and quality.
- Work with all internal teams to help define project scope and resource requirements for projects.
- Be the hub of communication for the projects – in regular contact with internal and external resources engaged in delivering the project.
- Encourage and facilitate collaboration. Set up projects using SG Standard Tools to give full visibility and empower the team to collaborate independently.
- Work with third party agencies and suppliers to jointly scope, manage and deliver SAP projects when appropriate
- Use SG Standard Tools to assign and track issues.
- Be on top of projects and know the status of timings, key milestones, budgets, resourcing etc. at all times.
- Have a good understanding of all the SG processes – their definitions, their core characteristics, how they should and shouldn’t behave (internal Controls)
Skills & Competencies :
Technical Skills
- Working Knowledge of SAP ECC 6.0 Ehp 4 – Configurations & Technical Development
- Working Knowledge of all key processes pertaining to SAP-SD, SAP-MM, SAP-PP and basic knowledge of the integrations with SAP-FI/CO
- New Solutions Definition based on SAP in-line with Business Requirements
- IT Projects Management
Soft skills:
- Good Oral and written communication skills,
- Presentation Skills
- Team Management
Education:
Degree in Engineering (BE, BTech)
Certification in any SAP Module will be an added advantage
Project Management Professional Certification desirable
Experience :
Minimum of 5 years domain experience in any industry in the capacity as a Key SAP User in any Function (Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, Manufacturing or Materials Management)
Plus Minimum of 5 years hands-on working on SAP Applications Configuration / Development / Support of which minimum 2 years must be in a Team (or) Module Leader Position
Working in an environment where SAP had been integrated to external Systems is an added advantage
Industry Type :

Specific Focus on Continuous Processing Industries : Steel or other Metals, Chemicals, Paper, Paints, Cement, Fertilizer etc.,
